Nina K. Solarz

In addition to having directed two non-profit organizations, Peace Links and the Fund for Peace, Nina Solarz has taught political science at Brooklyn College and has served as Assistant to the Administrator of the Human Resources Administration of New York City. She was Mayor Ed Koch’s representative in the New York City Office in Washington, D.C. for health and human services issues, as well as having been the Director of Public Affairs for the Select Commission on Immigration and Refugee Policy during the Reagan administration. Mrs. Solarz volunteers her time to additional not-for-profit and charitable organizations, including the International Crisis Group and as President of the American Friends of Turkey. She is a graduate of Wellesley College and received her Master’s degree in Political Science from the City University of New York.
