Every day the Foundation for the National Institutes of Health (FNIH) is at the nexus of research, innovation and discovery to fulfill the promise of a more certain future for human health.

We are the principal partner and only authorized fundraising organization for all 27 research institutes and centers of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the acclaimed world leader in biomedical research. Since being established in 1990, the Foundation has raised more than $1 billion in critically-needed resources to support more than 600 of the finest biomedical research programs in the world.

We are a principal convener and manager of research partnerships nationwide and around the world, and partner with an extensive network of corporate, foundation, advocacy, not-for-profit and individual philanthropic supporters to steward a wide variety of pace-setting and innovative research initiatives.
