Workplace Giving

Multiply the impact of your donation in support of the groundbreaking research of the NIH by giving through your Employer Matching Gift Program or, if you are a federal employee, make the FNIH your charity of choice in the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC #29165).

The Employer Matching Gift Program

If your company is one of the thousands that match employee's charitable giving , this is a great way to maximize your support. In some cases, an employer will match contributions dollar for dollar—some even two to one—up to a designated maximum amount. Check here to see if your company has a matching gift program.

If you do not find your employer through this search, please check with your company to see if it offers a program that will match your charitable gift.

If your employer requires an Employer Identification Number (EIN) (i.e. Federal Tax Identification Number), please use 52-1986675.

You may mail or email your completed matching gift form to:

Foundation for the National Institutes of Health
Advancement Office
Attn: Matching Gifts Processing
9650 Rockville Pike
Bethesda, MD 20814
advancement@fnih.org

Your personal gift and matched contribution will be credited to the program that you designated. If you have any questions or need additional information, please contact our Advancement Office at advancement@fnih.org or (301) 402-4976.

The Combined Federal Campaign

One of the simplest and most efficient ways for federal employees to support the Foundation is by donating at work through payroll deductions. The Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) is the only authorized solicitation of federal employees in their workplaces on behalf of approved charitable organizations.

NIH employees and other federal workers may give to the Foundation via payroll donation or a one-time contribution through the CFC using #29165.  In some regions of the country, United Way donors can also designate the Foundation for NIH as the recipient of their workplace giving campaign.

Americas Charities

Many workplaces encourage giving through America’s Charities, a national program through which the employees of hundreds of companies such as Dell, Lockheed Martin, Hewlett-Packard, Sears, RAND Corporation, First Advantage, Gannett, United Health Group, Iberdrola Renewables, American Airlines, Siemens, McKesson, TIAA-CREF, Avon Products, and many others are able to engage in charitable giving. The FNIH’s EIN, #52-1986675, is the code number to use on the America’s Charities form available from participating employers.

Staff of the FNIH are happy to participate in workplace giving events and to bring collateral materials for employees to learn more about the organization.  If you are a Key Worker for the Combined Federal Campaign in the DC metro area, please consider the FNIH to participate at your charity events.  Contact the Advancement Office at advancement@fnih.org or 301-402-4976 to request a FNIH representative to attend or send collateral materials for your workplace giving event.

The FNIH was recently featured on the America’s Charities’ blog.
