Overview
This program completed in December 2015.
Go4Life is a signature public health campaign by the National Institute on Aging (NIA) to encourage older adults to get active and stay active. Go4Life is based on an award-winning, evidence-based exercise guide that is designed specifically for older adults, accommodating physical limitations. The campaign features an interactive website and engaging print and digital materials that inform and encourage older adults about increasing their level of physical activity.
September was designated Go4Life Month, in collaboration with the White House Conference on Aging. The FNIH secured support from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation to print and distribute the Go4Life Exercise Guide and other program materials.
