The NIH Undiagnosed Diseases Program

The Undiagnosed Diseases Program (UDP) at the National Institutes of Health assists with diagnosing patients who have long been unable to find any diagnosis for their symptoms.  This fund provides support to the UDP and fosters personalized medicine initiatives; helps to discover new disorders; provides insight into biochemical and cell biological pathways; and brings genomics to modern medicine, especially in the area of rare diseases.
