Presented by the FNIH in partnership with the mHealth Alliance, the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) and the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the 3rd annual mHealth Summit will take place December 5-7, 2011 at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center in the Washington, DC area. “We are very pleased to have Qualcomm involved in the 2011 mHealth Summit in such a strategic capacity,” said Richard Scarfo, Director of the mHealth Summit at the FNIH. “By injecting the entrepreneurial dynamic of technology leaders -such as Qualcomm – at the Summit, we are able to deepen the technology discussions, elevate development opportunities, connect high-profile influencers in multiple industries, and advance cross-sectoral collaboration in the field of mHealth.”

“Qualcomm is a pioneer in the development of enabling technologies for wireless and we’re honored to take a leadership role in the mHealth Summit,” said Clint McClellan, senior director of business development, Qualcomm Wireless Health. “As we continue to make breakthroughs in mobile technology, we are also forging key relationships with companies in the medical device, pharmaceutical and health service industries to help bring solutions to market. The mHealth Summit provides an ideal forum to share knowledge and develop these important industry partnerships.”

The 2011 mHealth Summit will build on prior-year successes and offer a robust and comprehensive program agenda, focusing on the technology, business and policy perspective of mHealth to foster in-depth dialogue and aid in identifying and accelerating sustainable mHealth solutions.
