Robert Whitney Newcomb Memorial Lecture and Internships

The Robert Whitney Newcomb Memorial Fund endows an annual lecture in neuroscience and one or more internships for high-school students at the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS). 

Norman P. Salzman Memorial Symposium and Awards in Basic and Clinical Virology

The Dr. Norman P. Salzman Memorial Fund was established in 1999 to present the annual Norman P. Salzman Memorial Symposium and Awards in Basic and Clinical Virology to outstanding Postdoctoral Fellows, graduate students and postbaccalaureate trainees working in intramural laboratories at the National Institutes of Health (NIH), U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Fort Detrick Laboratories, LEIDOS, United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) or Uniformed Services University of the Health Services (USUHS).

Stephen E. Straus Distinguished Lecture

The Stephen E. Straus Distinguished Lecture in the Science of Complementary Health Therapies is an annual lecture given by leading figures in science and medicine who come to NIH to speak from their perspective about the field of complementary and integrative medicine.

Accelerating Medicines Partnership (AMP)

The goal of the Accelerating Medicines Partnership (AMP) is to bring together the resources of NIH and industry to improve our understanding of disease pathways and facilitate better selection of targets for treatment.

Clinical Center Drug Donations

The Clinical Center In-Kind Drug Donation Program provides pharmaceuticals that are donated through the public-private partnership coordinated by the FNIH to the NIH Clinical Center.

Edmond J. Safra Family Lodge

The Edmond J. Safra Family Lodge offers a cost-free home-like place of respite for families and loved ones of adult patients who are receiving care at the NIH Clinical Center, the nation’s premier clinical research hospital. 

Sayer Vision Research Lecture & Award

The Sayer Vision Research Lecture and Award funds an annual presentation delivered by an investigator conducting outstanding research in the area of vision research or related fields. It also provides a grant to support the research of a promising independent investigator in the early stage of his or her career in the Division of Intramural Research whose work is closely related to aspects of vision research.

Lurie Prize in Biomedical Sciences

In 2020, the Foundation for the National Institutes of Health (FNIH) will present the eighth annual Lurie Prize in Biomedical Sciences, a $100,000 award recognizing outstanding achievement by a promising young scientist in biomedical research.

National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke - Congress of Neurological Surgeons Foundation K12 Scholar Awards

The NINDS/CNS K12 Scholar Awards aim to increase the number of neurosurgeon-scientists who are trained to conduct research into neurological disorders.

John Laws Decker Memorial Fund

The Dr. John Laws Decker Memorial Fund honors the late NIH Clinical Center Director through the annual John Laws Decker Memorial Lecture and the Distinguished Clinical Teacher's Award.
