Advancing Science, Improving Lives - NINR's 30th Anniversary Events

Celebrating the 30th Anniversary of the National Institute of Nursing Research (NINR), the Advancing Science, Improving Lives symposia and scholarly events will bring together scientists, healthcare professionals and members of the public to discuss the advancements in nursing science that build the foundation of clinical nursing practice.

FNIH Awards Ceremony

This year’s presentation of the FNIH’s 2020 awards will celebrate science and partnership in a new way. The recipients of the Lurie Prize in Biomedical Sciences, the Charles A. Sanders, M.D. Partnership Award and the Trailblazer Prize for Clinician-Scientists will be honored through a dedicated, custom website.

This celebration will feature the Lurie Prize in Biomedical Sciences, a $100,000 award that recognizes outstanding achievement by a promising early-career scientist in biomedical research. The prize is made possible by a generous gift from philanthropist Ann Lurie. This year’s distinguished recipient is Aviv Regev, Ph.D. Click here to read more about Dr. Regev.

 

 

Go4Life

Go4Life is a signature public health campaign by the National Institute on Aging (NIA) to encourage older adults to get active and stay active.

Clayton-Dedonder Mentorship Fellows Program

Clayton-Dedonder Mentorship Fellows Program is designed to enhance the teaching and leadership skills of entry- to mid-level faculty at universities and research institutions in low- and middle-income countries at select training sites funded by the NIH Fogarty International Center.

Roth Fellowship for CAEBV-HV Research

The Roth Fellowship for CAEBV-HV Research was established to support a fellowship in the lab of Jeffrey I. Cohen, M.D., Chief of the Laboratory of Infectious Diseases and Chief of the Medical Virology Section at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID). 

Dr. John L. Barr Memorial Fund

The Dr. John L. Barr Memorial Fund supports the Intramural Research Training Award (IRTA) fellowship program at the Clinical Center's Pain and Palliative Care Service.

Adam J. Berry Memorial Fund

The Adam J. Berry Memorial Fund assists early career Australian scientists with travel between Australia and the United States to work at the NIH.

NIH Medical Research Scholars Program

The MRSP is a one-year intensive training program on the NIH campus for up to 50 medical, dental and veterinary students to engage them in research early in their careers.

Principles of Pharmacology Course

The Principles of Clinical Pharmacology Course at the NIH Clinical Center trains scholars and researchers in the clinical pharmacologic aspects of contemporary drug development and utilization. Since 1998, more than 10,000 individuals have taken the lecture-based course. The FNIH supported this program from 2009-2015.
